Thank you for choosing Jealous Bridesmaids! Here’s hoping your bridesmaids aren’t too jealous. Wedding dress shopping is a unique experience that is quite different from shopping for regular clothes. There are some key differences we think are worthwhile highlighting  to make the process clear and to make your shopping experience as much fun, and as stress free as possible!
 

Shipping Time (Please allow at least six months from order to delivery)

• Regular shipping is about 6 months. Rush and super rush delivery is available for most gowns for an added fee, cutting delivery time to about 3 - 4 months.

• We recommend ordering your dress at least 8 months before your wedding date, including time for alterations (see below) in order to avoid rush fees and the stress that comes with a tighter time frame.

• If you don’t have enough time to order a new gown, we also have a fantastic selection of discounted off-the-rack samples for sale, making for a speedy and budget friendly option!

Sizing and Alterations (Please allow 2 months for alterations)

• Your measurements will be taken in three places: bust, natural waist and hips. We then compare these measurements to that specific designer's chart size, and we consult with you in order to select the size that best corresponds to your measurements, keeping in mind the silhouette and style of the dress.

• The key implications from the point above are: 1) dresses are NOT custom made to your measurements, even though we take your measurements, which is a common misconception, and 2) we always err on the side of caution and order a size that may seem too large in one or two of the three measurements but fits correctly in the third one (respective of the silhouette of the dress). This is because a dress can be taken in fairly easily, whereas if it’s too small in any area, there might not be enough fabric to let it out (i.e. a highly undesirable scenario).

• Alterations are usually necessary since it is rare that a person will have exactly the same three measurements as any size on the designer’s size chart. We offer a very experienced on-site seamstress team so we can see you through from start to finish.
